Does Waze support School Zones (ToD speed limit change)

Post by AnthonyBgetOutOfMyWay
Hi,

Just wondering if Waze is 'aware' of the time of day speed limit changes from designated school zones?

By aware, I mean;
  • Reflect the 40km/h speed limit on screen
  • Factor in the reduced speed as part of the route calculation
and do all of this only;
  • During the times of day that school zones are active, i.e. generally 8am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4pm
  • On the days that are officially valid school days and thus the reduced speed limits are active
during the times the school zones are active,

the reduced speed is used as part of route calculation - Waze actually doesn't care about the speed limit we set. It uses historical data on each road segment, and has the data broken down in to time slots (and potentially day slots) so it knows e.g. a road is slower in the morning than at midnight.
