Help needed near Sand Hill, Mississippi
Hi, all. Is someone available who had the ability to edit a road a little bit to the west of Sand Hill, Mississippi? There are two edits needed: the road name needs to be corrected where it connects to highway 42, and probably more importantly, the bridge over the creek is out, and looks like it will be for a while.
The road in question consists of these segments:
https://www.waze.com/editor?env=usa&lon ... =504983857
https://www.waze.com/editor?env=usa&lon ... s=26543266
https://www.waze.com/editor?env=usa&lon ... s=26542666
https://www.waze.com/editor?env=usa&lon ... s=26544373
According to the street sign at highway 42, the road is named Freeman Town Road, not Watson Road.
The bridge in question is where the first two segments meet.
Unfortunately, it looks like I didn't have a strong enough cell signal for the Waze app to know I was there, so I can't do it myself.
Background: I was returning from visiting a sick relative Sunday, and decided to take a roundabout way home to Georgia by taking highway 42 to State Line, MS, and then hwy 45 north to I 20. Along the way, I was intrigued by the big "BRIDGE OUT" sign I saw on a side road, so I drove down it to see for myself. There are large "Road Closed" barricades on either side of the bridge that look to be very firmly anchored in the roadway, and on the northern end of the bridge, they either dug a 1-foot-wide trench across the road, or the bridge actually separated from the road. Not sure about the south end of the bridge's physical condition, but it has barricades, too.
Thanks,
Jack
