Good grief...just look at a map! Why are you even asking the user in the first place?
Update Requests (UR's) do not always capture all of your driving data. The Waze wiki explains this extensively: https://wazeopedia.waze.com/wiki/USA/Update_Requests

As for why we ask the driver: for one, road signs can change over time and Google Street View may not have the latest imagery, so if we look at the map we may not be seeing the latest setup. We ask the driver because they have a boots-on-the-ground vantage point, which is incredibly valuable and essential to improving the map.

I had a UR in North Central Pennsylvania where I left 2 messages and closed it as NI. I left in my last message my email for them to follow up and received an email from them. According to them:
I would reply in app but that function is not working and comments in the new map editor are now also broken.

All of the last messages I have only received as emails and not in the application inbox.

I personally submitted a UR this past Sunday (6/23) and have corresponded back and forth in WME with other URs. I have not received any messages in my app inbox. I have received the emails.

I am now seeing some UR responses in my inbox and notified via push notification. But if I go to open them, I get an error.

In recent years Waze has added the pop-up for replies to reports. It shows right when you open the app. You can find your messages by tapping search on the bottom left then your icon/avatar for My Waze and then inbox.

The emails give a link to the Waze map so that you can view the area.

I ve been havng the exact same problem. Cant get back to the person, and there´s nothing in my waze inbox... only gmail, with a few links that lead me to the forum, 2 milion options, but nothing about the message the user sent me.
SOOOOOO Frustrating.

I reported a minor issue via the app on 2019-02-01 and got a comment back 2019-02-02 via email from an editor asking for more information. In the email was this seemingly helpful bit:

The problems with this:
  1. In the app (iPhone, current version) there's no hint of any way to "reply" to or even see the issue report or the comment regarding it.
  2. The given link goes to the Map Editor with the reported are centered but, like the app, it also has no UI of any sort related to issue reports, comments on issue reports, or replies to comments on issue reports.
I DID send a PM to the editor who wanted more info, they replied, and the issue itself is resolved now. However, today I got a second email:

Just a reminder: We have not received a response on your report. If we
don't hear back from you soon, we will infer everything is okay and close
the report. Thanks!

I reported a speed limit issue and got an email from no-reply@waze.com that says there is more info needed. It says to go to the apps inbox to the issues and provide that additional info. However, when I go to my inbox there is nothing there other than some weekly summaries. I'm fairly new to using Waze so I'm not sure if I'm just not looking in the right area. Anyone have a suggestion on what I could do?
