Bug....it calculates the time of the route, but does not highlight the route

I'm seeing a lot of over-optimistic speeds for ETAs over Junction Boxes with this script lately.

When I check ETA from segment A to segment B which -usually- has an average speed of 10-30 km/h it now says the average speed is 50-70 km/h. In another area where I usually get very low average speeds on segments (dark brown with 3-10 km/h) it also now shows me average speeds of up to 80 km/h.

Has anyone noticed the same behavior with areas where you know what the speed usually is and seemingly un-reasonable high speeds?

When I toggle show speeds in mph then un-tick the checkbox back to km/h it sometimes reverts to more reasonable speeds. I'm not sure if that's a bug with the script or something else on Waze's side.

See screenshot: bottom is when I first set A+B (too high speeds), top is what I see after I toggle settings on/off (more normal speeds). Same weekday and time of day, default settings on v2018.07.31.001.

This script sounds fantastic, but it is not working for me :(

I am using Chrome 37, and I have the following error:
Uncaught ReferenceError: OpenLayers is not defined script.js:15
(anonymous function) script.js:15
(anonymous function) script.js:1722

I don't have tampermonkey. I just installed it in Chrome.
And developer mode is off.
Does it require tampermonkey?

Really. I can install scripts I write myself from my desktop just fine. I will investigate.

I was looking at a situation with what turns out to be an avoided u-turn

and the route shown by WME Route speeds makes no sense.

A:-96.828086, 32.951453
B: -96.827843, 32.950711

roughly https://www.waze.com/livemap?lon=-96.82 ... 85&zoom=17

which is also a nonsensical route. I think the bug is in Waze!

Has the author withdrawn this very useful script? Or is it being moved to a new location?

I think the easiest way to get license to distribute and edit is to grab one of the open-development licenses like BSD 3-part or Mozilla, fill in the blanks, and ask the author for permission to insert this into his fileset appropriately (with explanation of what this would mean). Even include a sample copy of what the files look like with this new license statement included.

If he just withdrew the file because he is finding it too time-consuming to maintain, then he will probably agree. If he withdrew it because he is angry at waze or the waze community, then he will probably not agree.

With a license agreement in the file, it is safe to release it into the wild. If you put it on github or other collaborative open development site, many developers can submit code changes, which you can then approve.

Right now, I don't have any information because the author has deleted his posts and I have deleted my copy of the extension. I believe the author is polish.

Excellent news! Thanks to both wlodek76 and FZ69617

Copyright law says otherwise. No matter the author's intention, no license statement = no license granted.

The worst case scenario is that he comes back and asks for you to cease and desist -- which you then do.
This is a very good point.
