Cannot add new PLACE on WME at any zoom level.

I've now discovered why I cannot edit places.
No need for further attention on this issue.
I have taken it up directly by email with Waze.
If other issues arise out of this scenario I will furnish here.

Discovered myself when I tried to add place from client & dialogue advised of restriction.

I’ve taken matter up directly with Waze by email and await detailed response.

As a very seasoned, senior editor since 2011, I approve/reject places and in all my history never had a single personal reject. This has come about mysteriously. Would you not agree that it should likely take a more senior or level editor to reject a place edit of mine? I never received a single reject in my entire editor history, never mind the demeaning conclusion you jump to - “throttled or restricted from adding due to too many reject place submissions”. That kind of comment is out of order.

I’m sorry for snapping back at you like I did & seek forgiveness. Humble apologies. Such was very uncharacteristic of me. I will be doubly embarrassed and deserve it if I know you personally. Imagine, just a few words making me lash out like that - I’m ashamed!

Very frustrated that sanction should have been applied in first instance by Waze on an Editor of my L5 stature & exceptional effort. It should not have happened. Waze are seemingly slack on instructional detail regarding place editing and I was personally ignorant of the oversight. I’m a stickler for honesty and propriety on WME.

In any event Waze restored my full editing rights yesterday while I was enjoying a national air show in a town called Bray, Ireland.

I’m very grateful for you reaching out to me in the first instance.

I was not accusing you of anything, so I don't understand how that is demeaning or out of order. I was merely offering an idea. Probably best to continue contact with Waze support directly for it though.

My problems with Place editing has in the main been resolved. Still coming across lesser problems withPLACES editing whereby it’s necessary to try saving new & amendments in particular requires GO BACK & TRY SAVE AGAIN. Can take up to 3/5 attempts to secure a SAVE.

I’m building a log of of issues & will report findings in a consolidated manner.

Technically, the original post for this thread was from usa_6vw4xcxy. You added your information onto the original post as did someone else before you.

You can get more help from local editors that can edit there if you post in the Canada forum. However, assuming you are able to edit where you are adding the place, the most common error is adding an External Provider. While the field shows up for everyone when creating a place, level 1 editors are not able to save the place if they have added one. Try adding the place without that and see if that helps.
