The delays were announced in advance and are inevitable due to updates being worked on, as written on the previous page as well. They're not slacking as you suggest, nor celebrating the 4th of July, Waze HQ is in Tel Aviv, Israel, they celebrated Yom Ha'atzmaut in May.

Blocked highways are not an issue, RTCs don't require any map updates and can be applied in real-time.
For URs, which is what he was talking about, there aren't millions of them a day and experienced editors know about scripts to easily answer or create custom default answers if needed. There are also other solutions that Champs with access to the reporting tool can use to inform many on the App at once. It's not hard to handle.

Regarding the last bit, please stop acting like you just arrived and don't know what's going on. If you said it was a joke before, it stopped being funny by now. You've clearly seen Daliah's last post (you gave it a thumbs up). Staff isn't "unable to update data" as you say... you know it, we know it, so stop making it seem like there is a brick wall ahead.

Devs are working on the tile builder, this is a necessary update for future improvements, they clearly stated that they were dealing with this as fast as possible as they are aware that we are waiting for updates. We used to have delays of 3 weeks or up to a month before improvements were worked on by staff as iainhouse pointed out, so this is nothing.
