I have been wanting something like this to come along for a long time.

I also have a custom list which is a hybrid of Rick's and PZ's.

Will you set up a place for comment update suggestions?

Thanks to you and all who have helped set this up.

Coming from a State were we get once 200 new URs a week this will be a great help.

dBsooner,

Thanks for releasing this script. I've been using it for a couple of months now, and am really impressed with it.

Yes, going the sheet route is the better way. Easier to make changes and don't have to involve the script writer.

It would be great if there were an option to append a selected text to the current message in the dialog box instead of replacing it.

How would you denote which comments to insert the additional text to? With the comments being controlled and reloaded from the google sheet every WME reload, there wouldn’t be a way to locally denote which get it and which don’t. Without some advanced coding (which I could do... like add a checkbox next to a comment). But even with a checkbox, there isn’t anything to key on except the title itself or order in the list, and those could change at any time by the comment list owner. So really, the only option would be to have a setting box to allow you to type in your own response to append to EVERY message, then you’d have to delete it if you don’t want it there. But that could wreak havoc on the double click option. It would either A) append automatically or B) I say do not append the extra text on double clicks.

Thoughts?

Maybe a toggle or something that locks what is already been entered into the comment box and places the next item selected from the list at the end.

Or whatever I happened to have already typed in the box.

You do not need URO+ to use URC-E. They work completely independent of each other. When both are active, it is possible to have some conflicts though.

Just compare collapsed and expanded views of the buttons between "Shortcuts" and "More Information" sections:

Waze-URC-E-shortcuts.jpg

("Conversation" section is expanded in both captures and the button looks like "^")

Line 852 needs to be changed from
Code: Select all
+ `<div style="display:inline;float:right;padding-right:8px;font-size:11px;"><i class="fa fa-fw ${(_settings.expandShortcuts ? 'fa-chevron-down' : 'fa-chevron-up')} URCE-chevron"></i></div></div>`

to
Code: Select all
+ `<div style="display:inline;float:right;padding-right:8px;font-size:11px;"><i class="fa fa-fw ${(_settings.expandShortcuts ? 'fa-chevron-up' : 'fa-chevron-down')} URCE-chevron"></i></div></div>`

And

Line 894 from
Code: Select all
if ($($(this).find('i')[0]).hasClass('fa-chevron-down'))

to
Code: Select all
if ($($(this).find('i')[0]).hasClass('fa-chevron-up'))

Or at least I made those changes and it appears to be correct now
