It appears we are reaching the end of the Centreville Roads and bridges work. Following info is clipped from a Town of Centreville email update:
A message from the Maryland State Highway Administration:
We’ve got a few more weekend closures left to wrap up the MD 213 bridge replacements in Centreville. Here’s the current plan:
December 6-9 – MD 213 will be closed in both directions at Old Mill Stream Branch (south end of town) beginning at 10 p.m. Friday. Please note the town will close northbound MD 213 (Commerce St.) at Ridgeview Ave./Little Kidwell Ave. by 6:30 p.m. for its annual parade, and SHA may follow with single lane closures/flagging at the bridge beginning at 7 p.m. The full closure will begin at 10 p.m. and continue through the weekend with MD 213 reopening by 5 a.m. Monday morning.
December 13-16 – MD 213 will be closed at Gravel Run (north end of town) beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.
December 20-23 – MD 213 will be closed at Old Mill Stream Branch beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.
These closures are needed to complete mostly road-related work such as patching, paving, striping, guardrail installation, etc. While we don't anticipate needing the full closure period (through 5 a.m. Monday) for any of these weekends, motorists should plan ahead and allow a few extra minutes for travel just in case. This work is weather-dependent. SHA also is evaluating the possibility of combining the latter two planned closures into one weekend but this has not yet been decided.
Many thanks as always for your patience!
