Here a bug in lanes.

- Set the lines for a x-ing and click on apply
- Scroll now the the map view so that the x-ing out of view
- Set lines for second x-ing far away (in my case about 6km) from the first one and apply
- Now save you changes
- Return to your first x-ing

this will be the result at the first x-ing:

in the histoty you'll see this

Here the PL

and that's reproduce able for me:

I pointed this out this because I found some edits were the lanes information were missing, see here: PL

Current workaround, after editing a x-ing save it before you move to the next one. ;)

Just an update to my report. If you have just one lane at the x-ing it works but if you have two or more lanes you can reproduce that problem.
Also this issue is not script related as I mentioned in between.

Meanwhile I have removed my updates because I could not edit any of them nor create a new one. Somehow the Forum was against me, got always blank page showing "403 Forbidden" when clicked on Preview or Submit?

It's possible to see how it reacts without saving see this video

It seems that there has been an update for WME.

Now you can move the map further than before. Previously the lanes guide information was gone when moving the x-ing 20 meters out out view (@ zoom level 9), now the distance is 400m.

Hopefully that will be enough to avoid loosing the lane guide information.

Twister-UK wrote: Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:57 am Some unusual behaviour when trying to edit a junction involving a combination of lane guidance and road shields was originally observed on a real piece of map data, and it can be replicated reliably on newly drawn test segments.

* Set up a junction with one straight ahead arm and one diverging arm.
* Give the straight ahead arm a road shield.
* Set up lane guidance, with the straight ahead arm being set to "view only".
* Save these edits.

Any attempt to alter the geometry of the junction, such that the diverging angle is reduced, will then result in the somwhat less than helpful "Modifying GuidanceMode is allowed only for CS Lanes" error being thrown.

Any alteration to the geometry which keeps the diverging angle the same, or increases it, doesn't cause the error to be thrown.

The following video demos the whole process from start to finish: https://chizzum.com/greasemonkey/images ... cemode.avi

I'm 50:50 on whether this really is just WAD or a bug, hence posting about it here first rather than going straight to the bug forum - the fact that it throws a proper error message (even one that seems to have been written only with the WME developers in mind) rather than just failing in some less obvious way suggests this isn't entirely unexpected behaviour, but the fact that it is a developer-focused error rather than one any ordinary WME user could be expected to make use of suggests that it might not be expected to occur in normal WME use...

Please Check after you have changed the geometry of the sement, the automaticly assigned lanes.

The angle is so small when you try to safe and the error occure, that the two segments which have no streetname get the straight arrow.
The Lane arrow for the segment with name "Test-Road" will have a keep right arrow in the lanes tap.

That should also happens, when there will be no Roadshield assigned.

Since the "view only" is only available by straight arrows, the message appear. I think this will be works as designed.

Without special lanes this cannot be mapped correctly.

Currently we have just ignored the bus/taxi-lane.

I'm not sure if this is limited to lanes. I have heard of similar things happening with other edits that go far off screen before you save. It might be a side effect of a feature that tries to prevent you from inadvertently making edits to things off screen that you forgot you had selected.

I'm not saying it should stay like this, but either way, it's probably best to get into the habit of saving when you finish each intersection.

Also the Knowledge Base document says the internal should be <50m in the criteria list but later <30m in the examples. Can someone confirm which it is.
It is <50m.

We don't really know whether or not this will work. If it's in a place near you, I would recommend trying it (quick, before it goes to full production ) yourself.
