If you mean monitored by staff, it never was. I know many people get confused over this but this is a community forum, we're all just users sharing experience and knowledge here. That's why on the second post in this thread I told a person to contact staff using the appropriate contact form and sometimes we also direct people to the suggestion box.

Helping eachother as users isn't a waste of time IMHO. If people do it hoping to get a response from staff however it's just not the right place.

Oops I did get my words mixed up there indeed, sorry. I've modified the residual thread titles on page 1, those were there because we had merged an App release thread with this one to put all CarPlay related posts in one place after a new version had come out and a new feedback thread was opened. Once a new version is out, the previous threads are no longer actively monitored and just kept for reference.

Some staff do have accounts here but I've never seen them post/react/reply in the Waze App section. They mostly participate in closed or beta forums.

I don’t think Waze devs can modify the programming of steering wheel buttons in cars or the built-in info-system functionalities by changing anything in the Waze App, it sounds like something that could only be done by the manufacturer.
At best if it could be changed through CarPlay programming somehow, it would be up to Apple and not Waze to make that possible, Waze has no power over how CarPlay works outside of the framework that Apple imposes on third party Apps who want to be on it.

Waze wants to have and support it, Apple decides what they approve and don't approve.
If Sygic has i,t it most likely means that they approved it for the Sygic App, while having apprently refused to approve it for Waze so far. Double standards and Apple logic...

No, that is set by Apple and Waze cannot change it, they are forced to work within the framework that Apple sets for them. We asked if it could have some transparency and that also seems not possible.

This does not say that Waze will stop working on Apple CarPlay, but only on Pioneer’s AppRadio Mode. If your unit has Apple CarPlay as you wrote, then you're fine and there is no need to return anything.

Apple Carplay does not yet support tapping on promoted places or anything else (like reports) as you can do when you run the App disconnected from Carplay and use your phone's touchscreen.

It's not supposed to be possible to hide advertized locations, people usually complain about not being able to remove them. This is the first time I hear about ad pins being gone from someone's navigation, so I honestly don't know how to get back something you're not supposed to be able to get rid of.

The "empty shell" that third-party GPS systems can use for Apple CarPlay is entirely controlled by Apple, Waze can only use it to display their info inside what they're given.

You're gonna have to ask Apple to make it smaller for everyone or user-customisable. Waze has no power over CarPlay.
