Apparently nowhere near. In an interview, Ehud said he wouldn't sell for any less than 10 times what someone (Apple I think) offered.
I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens, but with Apple locking everything down Waze would go to sh!t. Thankfully that's not the case, at least not yet.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings etc. As it looks Applegate bought Waze an extra year, maybe two, and gave it a fantastic growth. But nothing final (yet).

It probably won't be a replacement. Android phone already come with Google Maps and Navigation, but these work very differently from Waze.
Is iPhone's version also going to be "social"?

Who knew when Apple came up with iOS 6 and its updated Map actually blessing for Waze. We all wondered in the beginning.....but Waze came out Victorious.
