This proves krankyd's point that one of Waze's greatest challenges is to get people to run Waze everyone they drive. Not only when traffic is bad.

If all of these part-time Wazers would run Waze daily, we would have fantastic real time traffic in most major metropolitan areas.

Yes, there certainly is the impact of a longer commute due to heavy traffic that will cause the Wazers near you to be a higher number.

Growing in San Diego also. It's been apx 500 around 5pm. Broke 700 around 5pm today (horrible, widespread traffic today).

Very nice site, Wazestats. Now we just need someone to do something similar for the USA :)

That seems to be problematic. We know that Livemap is not a priority for Waze and that the number of users are filtered. So that is why the number of Wazers looks to be very low all across Europe per Wazestats. Waze really needs to provide an API to the actual data for this to be accurate.

I am seeing much higher numbers here in San Diego in the past couple of days. In addition, I saw more Wazers on the map than the past several weeks. So either there is now a problem that displays too many Wazers near you or Waze actually fixed some problems and the number is now accurate. Who knows.

189 in Charlotte NC at 5:49PM. Our map is very mature.

I tried to check closer to 5:00, but of course it couldn't connect to the server...

I have seen consistently about 350 to 400 hours on my commute to (8:30 am) and from work (5:30 pm) in Charlotte. With about 100 or so reports and Jams actually fluctuate a lot (20-90). Hoping to some day see a number over 500.
