Both carriageways Camera

Post by BtBalways
This GSV appears to show a camera capable of sensing both carriageways from one position:- viz:- road markings and no provision for fixings on the other side at the other end of the marks.
The camera doesn't match any pictures I have found so far but....
Is it possible that the camera can be switched from rearward to forward sensing and, if so, is simply mapping a camera in what would be the other position appropriate?

This is a Gatso Smart Pole and only enforces rear facing traffic, the road marking are to ensure it catches anyone overtaking or trying to avoid detection by using the wrong lane. It's also on the UK Wazeopedia;
