South Queensferry, Edinburgh Unlock request

Post by zoomm2k
Hi Editors,

I would like to be able to edit the following segments.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Permalink: https://waze.com/en-GB/editor?env=row&l ... =397720812
Reason: this street is now one-way heading east, and this is not reflected on Waze.
Unlock to level: 1

Thank you in advance,

I couldn't find 174210001, but it's all L1 west of Lou Lou's Coffee Shop.

What issue are you seeing?

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I've added this segment because "no entry" signs can be seen here.

East of there, vehicles can be seen facing in both directions.

It's all unlocked to L1 now.

Waze uses the roads that editors draw. Editors might use various different maps to guide them. I regularly use google, the Scottish Land Info Service, and house builders own maps.

Waze also shows GPS tracks collected from users as they drive, which helps us to add new roads when a new development is not yet mapped, or when satellite imagery is mis-aligned.

Tried to complete the edit but need more of the street unlocked; between nodes ID 129459435 and ID 174210001. Many thanks.

The street is now one way all the way from Gote Lane along to the large car park on the B924 Newhalls Road (that’s where the other node is). So I think I’ll need that whole length to be made Level 1 to complete the update.

Thanks in advance.

If this is based on the Google streetview, this is not a reflection of the current state of the road. Works have been completed on the road in the last month which places the first no entry signs at the large car park on Newhalls Road (node 17410001 is at the western end of this). The current Google satellite view also does not reflect the current layout. Does the Waze map use Google as a basis for roads?

Thanks for all your assistance so far.
