The Transmission Gully Motorway (Māori: Te Ara Nui o Te Rangihaeata) is a 27-kilometre-long (17-mile), four-lane motorway north of Wellington, New Zealand. 
Construction began on 8 September 2014 and completion was originally scheduled for April 2020, but contractual negotiations as well as difficulties resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic caused delays.
Built on a earthquake faultline may cause future issues.
The motorway opened 3am to public traffic on 31 March 2022.
This is a major win for Waze NZ, Google & Apple were not ready for the opening, Waze was (of course)
Routing worked correctly.
GMaps was not complete, Apple suggested using the urban area in preference to the new expressway.
