This is what the Report Police button is for. Since its unlikely that the speed trap is there 24/7, it allows drivers to alert when its happening.
I know that.
You know that.

(s)He SHOULD know that but reported it as a map problem.
If higher level editors could post traffic problems from the editor we could solve a bunch of these kinds of 'traffic problems posted as map problems.'
If we could communicate with the drivers, we could educate them as to the proper use of the buttons.

Description: one way street
Reported on: December 20
Posted from the middle of a 4 lane that has a divider and clearly has traffic running both ways, 2-one-way-lanes going north-east and 2-one-way-lanes going south-west.

Interestingly, this is one of those that is mapped as a single, 2-way street.

This tells me that the driver expected to see 2-one-way streets on the map rather than a single, 2-way street.

This MAY be a good reason to rethink the 'avoid dividing' advice often given.

The client software NEEDS to make it clear to the user.

Perhaps some voice directions would help.
I would suggest verbal instructions be given to train the users in the proper submitting of hazard and map reports.

The client could key off of the users 'experience level' and give novice users very detailed instructions, asking them if they are submitting the report in order to have the map changed or do they want to report an immediate hazard or condition so that other drivers are alerted.

After the user submits a few reports, the questions could become less detailed.

Experienced users would need no verbal cues at all or very terse ones.

Of course, it would take the fun out of 'Jolly Drivers'.

How could we live without priceless gems such as these?

Description: I could not find the navigation from Pocatello, ID to Houston, TX. Could you fix this? It is not working on both iphone app and the web browser. Thank you, USERID WAS HERE!

the ID enabled me to PM the user. Now, if he reads his PM he will learn that WAZE has limits on how long a route it can create. :)
Description: The route on the map is showing to go right but the verbal instructions say to turn left. Right on Highway 105 is the correct direction.

I too have had WAZE tell me verbally to turn the wrong direction.
I think it happened right after an upgrade, a couple of upgrades ago. I reported to support.

I think you need a better straight line. That joke is old.
Description: Lowes, Chick-fil-A, and Whataburger are all on the north east side of this intersection - Map does not indicate correct placement of these businesses or how to get to them.
I hope he gets the 'insufficient information' e-mail and starts editing. He will then have a chance to put those 'important' landmarks in their proper location.

UR is in the middle of a field somewhere.....east of Midland/Odessa.
Sounds like his GPS is acting up.
I have seen mine occasionally 'mis-locate' me and then try to route me via roads that it thought I must be following. It left 'strange' tracks on my trip record for the evening.

I turned WAZE off and restarted it and it picked up my correct location.

I wonder how many of the user complaints we get are due to similar mis-locations.
