Err, is it me or have all the Permalinks disappeared from the GSheet?? Looking at the Version History, they were there at 12:10 and gone by 12:14...

I can see that "we" are making progress on the spreadsheet but there are still plenty to do. Looking across (mostly rural) West Wales I'm seeing a lot on the map that are "Restricted" because they're in car parks of e.g. hotels. I've so far concentrated on approving the "Public" ones that I can verify in Streetview or the Aerial images. I don't have plans to start driving the length and breadth of Wales checking on them physically and there aren't recent enough Streetview images for some places.
I'm thus looking for a steer from the champs as to what to do about the ones I can't check in these ways? I've looked at some of the web sites for the service providers and most haven't been very detailed about locations. If the Restricted ones won't be surfaced in Waze any time soon then how much time should we spend on them?
Thanks
Martin

I'm not stressing about the number of spaces/connectors/whatever apart from (I think) one operator for which I found several location where the number in the sheet was 1 but there was clearly more spaces/connectors/whatever than that. I marked them as Problem with a comment but I don't think I attempted to correct the number without facts/understanding.

Is it me or has the EVCS stuff in the app gone live in the UK even though we still haven't reached 50%? Just looking at one in south Wales and someone has submitted a picture of it, which to me means the places are surfaced in the app? Sure enough, looking at the app you can now tell it what plug type you're looking for...
"While I'm here", there used to be an option in the app to say whether you wanted diesel or petrol but I can't find it any more. AIUI that's a country feature that the admins can turn on/off - why has it been turned off in the UK or am I missing something else?
Thanks

I've told my brother-in-law who has an EV that this stuff is now live and he says he can't see the options in his copy of Waze. Is it perhaps only visible to beta testers? Or Editors? or people with an R in their first name?
I advised him to check he was up to date and he didn't say he wasn't...
Thanks

Ianinessex wrote: Sun May 21, 2023 3:59 pm Not sure what is happening. I have Android beta and can now turn on the EV options, but then nothing further happens. I do not have the option to tell Waze I am in an EV or find any charging points. It looks like Waze have done the usual half cocked partial release.
Interesting. If I turn on EV options, I then see "EV Charging" as a button at the top if I tap on the "Where to?" search bar. It then tells me what's nearby and what connectors they have. Are you not seeing that?
Martin
[Edit: I have Android Release 4.94.03 and am on the beta channel.]

Hi Ian,
Thanks for that information - explains why my brother-in-law can't see it.
As for progressing the numbers, do we have a breakdown of how we're doing on "Public" chargers? Given that those are the only ones that will be surfaced for the time being, shouldn't we be concentrating on those (if we aren't already) rather than checking the ones in e.g. hotel car parks which you won't be able to search for anyway? I would think that if we're nearly there on the Public ones they should switch it on, but what do I know!!

So is this now live generally or do we have to wait for HQ to notice that "we" have passed 50%?

NB re PodPoint AC chargers, the ones I've looked at are all recorded in the feed as the number of units. These are often the free-standing pedestal type which have 2 separate plugs per post and two parking spaces so I've recorded them as "Problem" in the spreadsheet, commenting that the number in column K [Number of CS] needs doubling.
