Waze uses 30 minute intervals of historical speed data during route calculation.

Not necessarily... Maybe the widget ask for ETA's for 10 minute intervals.bgodette wrote:It has to be 10 minutes or less, else the Andoid widget wouldn't show different ETAs for each 10 minute interval it requests.gerben wrote:Waze uses 30 minute intervals of historical speed data during route calculation.
It's all my phone's fault for using Tapatalk.

Thatcher is true for short routes, but for routes over 20 minutes, storting ten minutes later will put you in a different interval for multiple sections. Will check the widget this afternoon when I am close to my home.

I stand corrected, they must have improved the granularity. I got all different ETA's for a ~4 minute route.

You can always choose one of the alternative routes and look at the nav list before you start driving. Then if you don't like the way it is taking you pick another alternative route or re-set your route again.
Of course Waze is subject to re-route you when you are on-course to a faster route if/when traffic conditions change (assuming the traffic routing/re-routing is working as it should).
Obviously this is not very practical if you are trying to search for alternative routes when driving.

The integrated yelp search in Waze is only to find POI's and read reviews. No ability to leave reviews, check in, integrate with your yelp account, edit details, etc.
