If you want to go the Gatwick airport drop-off/pick-up area, you will get charged £5 for the privilege. I believe this is a charge for driving along the road rather than stopping on it. Therefore a "toll" flag seems appropriate.
If you go instead to the long stay parking area, you don't get charged for pick-up/drop-off, and even the shuttle bus to/from the airport is free.
I agree the app could be clearer about which section of road is the "toll", but we map editors don't get to design the app interface

Someone has enabled the Gatwick terminal access roads as Toll Roads.

The Dartford Crossing is not, technically, part of the M25 as it is subject to a toll during the day. No other part of the M25 or M23 is subject to a toll. Without the screenshot, can't really comment further.
