Waze support map update request

Hi, 

We’ve received a map update request to Waze support and we’re posting here on the user’s behalf. The link to this post will be forwarded for the user to follow up.

This is the user’s request: 
  • The user is reporting that he was routed to the wrong address: instead of Holly Close, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, IG9 6HT, UK he was routed to Willow Close, Buckhurst Hill, IG9 6HS, UK.

  • Wrong Direction

 The user's request content:
  • From today all Wazers (me and couriers) get sent to the next road instead of my home address. I live at Holly Close, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, IG9 6HT, UK.
    Waze sends drivers to Willow Close, Buckhurst Hill, IG9 6HS, UK.
    This started today and was not happening last week. My takeaway ended up on the wrong road. It tried to do this to me too.

Checking shows that addresses 9-15 inclusive in Holly Close have GPS coordinates returned by Google as more accessible from Willow Close.

The remedy is to add all house numbers to both streets on the Waze Map (and advise users not to use Post Codes in requests for navigation).

Some critical ones have been added, but may take a day or two to become searchable until after server update.

Addresses on Holly Close are now successfully found by Waze.

Users should be advised to delete faulty searches/journeys from their history to prevent Waze Navigation from re-using old information.
