The pick up feature doesn't work. A friend accepts the link and chooses their location, but waze on my device never receives anything back. I have tested this at home on 2 devices and the other one just says "waiting to start driving". Even after I start moving, nothing happens.
What is MEANT to happen? Surely waze should be routing me to them, or adding them as a stop...

Notifications not on your route has always been the normal behaviour for waze...
Agree on the whole event radius limit though.

When there is a letter 'y' in a report, the tail of the letter is cut off in the list of reports.

I doubt that is a problem with the beta...
Uninstall and reinstall.

Which begs the question "what's happening with this road closure thing"?

Nacron wrote:I was going to report this in the last beta but forgot to. When you have an address highlighted like if you input an address in the calendar. It will ask what app you want to pass this to, and my choices are maps or waze. In play store version it used to pop up the drive to box with that address in it. With the beta versions it no longer does that, just opens the app.

slow_mo wrote:I saw someone mentioning this problem, but since it is still not fixed in this beta but was present in two previous betas, I'll report a bug here.

The problem is that a speedometer disappears when adding a stop and pointing to a location on the map.

Steps to reproduce:
  • Navigate to any place
  • Go to menu and select "Add a Stop"
  • Go back twice to get back to the main screen
  • Tap and hold somewhere on the map and then select the blue arrow to the right of the popup
  • Press "Go" in the next screen
Speedometer will be gone.

Let me say that current way of selecting a point on map as a stop is not very intuitive. Better way would be to have a separate button saying something like "Point on Map" in the Navigate screen besides Categories, Favorites and History.

I'm seeing that too.

This, very much! It's not quite so annoying to have to hit the little 'x', I guess I've started to get used to it already, since it's the only option on so many dialogues in the new betas, but a "No" or "Cancel" button would be much nicer.

Also, sometimes, it's so slow to come up with the "Are you heading to ..." that I've already started to select a different location to navigate to, and this pops up and overrides what I was already entering. It can take so long, that I can already be typing in an address to navigate to when it asks if I'm heading to Home, thus wiping out the portion of the address that I've already entered. I suppose the delay is fine, however, before that pops up, it needs to check to ensure that I'm not already in the destination selection dialogue system before it pops that up. Actually, it should probably ensure that I'm not actively "doing" something (i.e. any where in the menus) before it pops this up, and if I'm already into navigation, it shouldn't pop up at all.
