That could be useful, but also really painful. Or problematic. There are some types of changes which you don't want to keep, like dragging another segment or creating another segment just to split a road. You're going to delete it in the next "change" so I wouldn't want to save it...
Maybe set it to always default to Off when first opening the map? Then depending on what you are doing, the user can enable it The area I am editing has not had a lot of edits so I can easily get many simple changes very quickly.
If there's good reasons for not adding it, then okay. Just tossing out some suggestions
Sounds like a good idea, but I can see problems with it as well. Imagine you're in the middle of edits, and the auto-save is triggered, but encounters an error and pulls you away from the edit you were on, not only taking you away from your edit, but also possibly messing things up by interrupting, moving the map, or what not. If you were in the middle of dragging something, that could be bad and you might drag something half-way across the country.

For sure off by default. I think it sure could be potentially helpful, and I can think of any significant harm it would cause in general use. Mike, if you want to implemented it and test yourself and let us know how you feel it works in practice, cool.
Good points. I will add autosave as an experimental feature that you will have to enable manually in the Safari Extension settings, that way we can try it out without having it cause havoc.
Also, I have updated the list of known issues, and I am working on addressing them. Thanks everyone for all your help with feedback, testing, etc. Thanks Alan, for all your hard work and dedication (hope you didn't take any offense to my odd sense of humor regarding the "tool" joke, was just a play on words, nothing implied).
Mike, I'm not sure if the most recent update to JNF should be working, but that part isn't showing WazeBar in 0.0.19 for me in the beta. Is this a known situation? I know JNF got 3-4 updates today as the beta versions flopped around...
