I believe the problem there may be that some people use "turn not allowed" when they mean "Waze is telling me not to make this turn, but I think it's obviously the right turn to take here."

I'm only referring to the ones where the report was correct, and the turn should have been restricted. If I had a nickle for every time someone report "turn not allowed", but turns are indeed allowed there......

...you'd be hiring a staff of editors to maintain Waze, rather than doing it yourself.

Wait. Maybe that explains your score. Confirm or deny that you have a secret nickel cache.

Jolly drivers

Postby fvwazing » Wed Oct 10, 2012 2:35 pm

Many userreports have this ambiguity. "Missing road" could mean that a real road is missing on the map OR that a road on the map was taken down in the real world.

Really, that's the best comeback you got? I thought you had to be at least 16 to drive a car.

Submitted with a GPS track that would only be possible on a train (which is mapped)...
Type: Wrong driving direction
Description: told me to make a right on a one way street the wrong way

Type: Turn not allowed
Description: marathon

There wasn't even a marathon that month... There was a 5K the next day though... But I still can't fix it...

Type: General error
Description: Address correction. Map is close but 1775 Senseny Rd is actually my current location. Waze is consistently off by about 20 yards.

20 yards?!?!?! You're concerned about 20 yards? Just consider the technological marvel that is the miniaturized computer that triangulates your position from nuclear clocks in satellites 12,600 miles away which transmit only ~50W of signal. The fact that you're not satisfied with 20 yard accuracy demonstrates just how jaded we've become with our amazing technological feats.
