This is rich!

I looked at an MP for "Driving direction mismatch (automatically detected)" and found a drive down a short one-way segment the wrong way. As I usually do I pulled up StreetView to see if the segment was marked correctly. What I saw is collected and attached!

Along with stop signs if you're driving an expensive car.

Maybe we should say that All Signage is ADVISORY ... unless you're caught!

AndyPoms wrote:That one has flagged many, many, many times... There are a couple of places with clearly posted "No Left Turn" signs that flag people making the left pretty regularly.
As soon as I saw it in SV, even without the wrong-way car, I figured it was common. It just begs people to make that short hop down to the other area.

A friend, who isn't using Waze, refers to her GPS persona as "That Bitch in the Box!"

I finally have a UR that justifies my posting:

Update Request: Wrong driving direction
Took me to a dead end road. Not destination

And yes, he made the UR at a dead end but there is no indication of where he wanted to really go, so how am I supposed to know?

Mind reading, crystal ball, maybe I close my eyes and pick a place on the map?

I don't think there are as many "bogus" URs as you would think. There are a couple of issues that make many URs appear bogus but the primary problem is:

The reporter assumes there is more information provided to the responder than is actually provided.

If we knew "where they were going" a large number of the unsolvable URs become solvable. If there was ALWAYS a track and a route provided, a few more go away. Since neither of these is going to happen, we will always have unsolvable issues.

I think the coming changes to the Waze editor may help, since being able to ASK the person what they were thinking will go a long way to solving issues.

And speed limits if you're driving an expensive car. ;)
Well actually, if you live in Texas, replace "expensive car" with pickup truck.
