I was gathering information today on a stretch of road that I suspected had errors on the Waze map. While doing that, I caused a "Ghost traffic jam" by traveling 15 mph on a 25 mph road, it came up red. On my second lap, I deliberately did 25 mph and managed to improve the "jam" to 20 mph and turned it yellow.

Is this normal behavior? (5mph less than the posted limit showing yellow). I do have a screen grab and other data if this is significant for this exercise.

These 2 caps are from ~2 months ago. I forgot about them until I saw this thread again. You might notice the time difference and connectivity to waze servers. I always see jams in this minor highway and I am sure I am the only one on it. This time connectivity caught my attention. Is this something related to connectivity?

Another instance : I stopped at a bakery on a primary street, turned waze off, got in the shop, was told they are sold out, got back in the car and turned waze back on. The whole episode did not take more than 20 seconds. When waze started again the primary street was red colored and average speed was something like 6 km/h. Again I was the only one there. This time the jam did not clear even after I went on my way @ the speed limit of 60 km/h. It was still there 5 minutes later while I was waiting at a restaurant nearby.

I wish I reported this when it happened so it could be investigated.

At this drive through, waze used to keep me snapped to the nearest road to the west and cause 'ghost traffic jams'. Ever since I put a parking lot road in the drive through and left it disconnected from the nearest roads, I've never had the problem since. When I leave the road and start through the drive through, waze knows I'm there and since it's parking lot road it doesn't say there's a traffic jam in the drive through either. I've done this in drive through's all around my area and it cut down on auto generated map errors and false traffic jams substantially. So, basically I've solved this issue in my area.

Waze just tells me to (I forget exact phrase) "proceed to highlighted route" and starts the purple marked route on the nearest actual road.

The times you see are CET.

There where no trafficjams and I also saw nobody else driving on the road.
