can't see the side of alerts on the map

Post by Herve-rv
Hello,
When I look at the map on my smartphone, I can see on which side of the road the alerts are.
The only way to know is when I am close to the alert, it blinks if it is on my side, but if I am 1 or 2 kms before the alert, I am not able to know.
Could display a different icon depending on the side of the road (full lighted on my side and shadowed on the other side for instance).

If a hazard is for your side of the road, you will get a pop-up alert. Otherwise, it was posted for the other direction. Keep in mind that the "other lane" option does not work, so if someone reported the hazard from the other direction and used "other lane" then no one will get an alert.

It has been suggested that Waze come up with a way to signify "my side" of the road for far-off alerts on a road you will be navigating on with a symbol or color of some kind. This will only work for roads you are navigating onto. Otherwise, there is no way for Waze to know which direction you might drive on a road you are not being told to navigate on.
