Waze 3.5, iPhone 4S, iOS 6 - Is There A Workaround?

Post by OldGnome
I am fully aware that we are waiting for a fix from Waze.

I have the usually reported problem where Waze won't even load. The other symptom I get when Waze will load is that no audio is possible. I have tried a secondary audio app and I get nothing from Waze or anything else.

Is there a workaround to the situation?

Same here. Don't they do some kind of controlled release where only some people get it over a certain time frame, to keep the servers from getting overloaded?

They need a 6.0.2. I'm having very little trouble with Waze (knock on wood), but there's weird glitches in a number of other apps I use on a daily basis.

I updated mine using WiFi, so it may only be specific circumstances that require connecting directly to computer.
I upgraded to 6.0.1 as soon as I noticed that it was available. I did it over 3G from my office, which has a weak signal, and it was done in less than 5 minutes, including the reboot.

Are you at IOS 6.0.2 yet?

I ask because my 4s running 6.0.2 seems to run Waze 3.5 just fine.

There is no 6.0.2
You're right. I'm an idiot. Obviously I was thinking of something else.

I'd be ranked higher if I drove more than 5 miles to work. :-(
But I only have to drive 5 miles to work. :-)

I believe that is correct. I have checked two iPhone 4S' and get the same response.

Consequently, my workaround question still stands.
