That'll be why then. Two cities with different names in the same country will appear just as before. It's two cities with the same name but different countries will get their respective country appended to their names.

Well... I put a Dutch cityname to a German segment, so the'city' (it has only 10 houses or so) now exists in both countries.

I am on my home now, so I cannot check it, but I think I left the edit in. Can you check the permalink?

If the original Dutch city is too far away (i.e outside of editor view) then it won't be in the model data. My script only sees the one city.

I'll check out your link in a bit.

Idea for dropdown display?

Preface: This is only a suggestion. It feels like it would maximize the useful information here and helps single out flaws, but it may be a nightmare of loops. Just want to put it out there as a possibility.

* List all cities, including 'No city' if applicable. As now, if state and country are identical, they do not need to be printed.
* If the 'state' field is undefined (blank) for all polled segments, do not print the state field at all. If there are 2+ countries and the state field is defined in at least one, print all three: city, state, country.
* If the states are different and the country is the same for all polled, the country does not need to be printed.
* (On the fence about this, but could help debug issues?) At the end of any of these cases, append the CityID unless it's for 'No City'.

Examples:
(Assume State for all is Washington, but there is 1+ Canada country segment).
Algoma, Washington, United States (20051)
Federal Way, Washington, United States (45994)
Black Diamond, Washington, Canada (44221)
NO CITY, Washington, United States

(Assume States mixed between Washington and Oregon. Country same for all.)
Algoma, Washington (20051)
Federal Way, Washington (45994)
Federal Way, Oregon (66554)
NO CITY, Washington

(No state field in ANY segment, null or whatever - probably a typical Intl server case)
Algoma, United States (20051)
Federal Way, United States (45994)
Black Diamond, Canada (92344)
NO CITY, United States

(2+ states, where 'NONE' is counted as one, different countries visible)
Algoma, NO STATE, United States (20051)
Federal Way, Washington, United States (45994)
Black Diamond, Washington, Canada (92344)
NO CITY, Washington, United States

(2+ states, where 'NONE' is counted as one, all same country)
Algoma, Washington (20051)
Federal Way, NO STATE (66446)
Black Diamond, Washington (22445)
NO CITY, Washington

This is working for me.

Download and install the script again. If you look at the file, you should see @updateURL on line 9.

Here's WME Colour Highlights Beta v1.4.4 (uploaded 10:35 GMT, Nov 5th)

This will include "No City" or "No City, State" in the list of cities, overriding the gray No City option.
For example "No City, Idaho" segments can be clearly seen around Virginia City, MT.
Other interesting test cases are Detroit, MI and Buffalo, NY, with a mess of states and countries.

Edit: As for States appearing in the list of cities, I have no idea why this is happening. The city of "Washington" really is in the list of cities from Waze, so must be a bug at their end. The only thing that is different about the "state" cities is a much higher ID number, around 100,000,000+. I've attempted to filter out these cities, which will hopefully not hide any real cities.

The state appearing in the list of Cities started happening in the Editor a couple of months ago. I never thought it a big enough deal to mention as some kind of bug.

Tim,

Will your script work in the new editor, or wait for a new version here as well? :)
