If the v1.0.1 is enabled, opening an(y) editor page using a permalink with segments (or landmarks) does not select and highlight these segments (or landmarks).
I do not remember, whether it was functional in the previous versions.
I cannot replicate this issue, except when selecting a Street and zooming out too far. This cannot be fixed.

Ah right, I see it now - how odd. I'll keep looking at it...

--

Meanwhile, I've updated the script to include some new features: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/141050

v1.1
- added Filter by City in Yellow
- No City highlight changed to Gray
- always highlight newly paved roads
- Filter by Editor will affect Recent Edits
- user levels now match number of cones in Beta
- added hide|show button (for old editor)
- fixed persistance of options in Firefox

Thanks to Twister_UK and Kuhlkatz for their contributions.

I'll see what I can do to make this more robust.

As is ALWAYS on? No way to turn it off?
Yes, it's always on, with no option to turn it off. Is there ever a need to disable it?
AndyPoms wrote:On the previous version one could select an editor & see their recent edits as well as locks (depending if the lock roads box was checked)... Or was I seeing ALL their edits before and now there is the option to "hide" older ones?
Before, the script would highlight any segments that were either recent or edited by a user (in green). Now, it only highlight segments that are both recent and edited by a user (in green). Segments locked by that user should still be highlighted in red, etc.

User levels? Can we highlight by editing rank now too?
The user levels appear in the dropdown box of editors, in brackets. The old editor shows the old levels (AM = 2), while the new editor will show number of cones (AM = 4).

I shall reintroduce them at some point, once I've figured out an appropriate way to present them.

chrysrobyn wrote:What do you think about adding a color option for null nodes (nodes joining two segments that are identical in type, direction, state and city with no real intersection)?
While these are superfluous nodes, they don't really affect routing and so don't need to be deleted.

dovos wrote:Can this script add highlights for red segments (a new road recorded via client) - more bright or fat color? It would make appreciable such segments of big scales on the maps
Do you have v1.1? That already makes them bold and red. Do you want them more bright or fat?

mike-bronner wrote:Thank you VERY much for such a useful script. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work in Safari (even with NinjaKit, the Greasemonkey replacement for Safari) it didn't run. So I set about learning Safari Extensions, and adapted your work as an Extension that works natively in Safari. It can be downloaded here: https://github.com/mikebronner/WME-Color-Highlights.
Nice work, Mike! I'll link back to it from the UserScripts so that other Mac users can find it.

I was wondering if it was worth creating a proper Chrome Extension for the Web Store...

foxitrot wrote:Still does not work for me (that issue with segments in permalink) :-( (On Firefox, yet to try Chrome.)
Aww shucks, I thought I'd fixed it. Testing it again, and it fails some of the time, and works the rest of the time.
mike-bronner wrote:What are the steps to reproduce the permalink issues? Click on the permalink didn't cause any issues on my end after logging in.
In Firefox, this permalink should highlight 5 segments. Often it does not, but if you keep trying it it sometimes does. It's fine in Chrome.
