Indeed. If it's their licence they can do whatever the hell they like with it. I know I've seen some projects change the game at times, but all previous source before any licence change should be available.

Yes but if you use GPL code you can't modify it and have it closed source.

As you as you own the copyright to the code, you can change licenses as much as you want. So there's really no problem here.

Interesting, this developer https://twitter.com/damagedspline of http://code.google.com/p/waze-qt says that 3.5 libwaze.so contains same strings as GPL'ed version 2.4.

That's already been said about the possibility of there still being gpl code in the product, but there's no way of knowing.

On twitter they just replied to me:

@stackTrase Since version 3.0 we haven't had an open source code :(

Don't know how that fits in with the OpenSource technology they use in their software.

OK, then is there any documentation in the community about how the software is supposed to work?
Routines (input/output), format of strings saved in CSV GPS files, ... ?
If not, we could start a new page in Wiki/Forum about this subject.

No. Anything extracted from the APK file is impossible to work with. Function, class, and variable names are lost and converted to identifiers with no meaning.

Well, the latest version v.3.2.2.2 is not available for download...
Maybe it is possible to retrieve the source code from the APK file?

I'm not sure whether or not the developers read the forum. I just meant that if anyone has real technical issues, they could always ask the developers.

Thanks,

Chris.
