Why did you leave the extra intersections in there? Are they really needed?

Albany, NY Help needed for strange roundabout

Has anyone seen anything like this in the past?

Within a week? Never seen that. Most times it is in the order of months...

There are not so many ways you could make an intersection like that so it may be mere coincidence if it looks alike.

I think he means that some of the segments can be combined into a single segment, eliminating the nodes that are currently there.

Several of the selected segments could probably be combined.

There are 4 in the above area that you might get rid of.

Thank you!

Perhaps this will give you a start.

I did NOT try to make the roundabout 'oval' as the proposal map did not show it as an oval.
I made the roundabout and the added bypass lanes 'service streets'. You may want to change them to ramps.

I put the overpasses on level 2. They could probably be on level 1.
I didn't lock anything. You may want to lock it down when you finish.

Good luck.

I think I may have figured out what happened (or at least what brought the new editor to the area)... There is a "A" on the map in that area & the outline of the "old" oval roundabout in the city layer... Could you have possibly given the old roundabout a city of "A" instead of "Albany"?

I also see a bunch of extra junction nodes that are scattered around from the rebuild that should be deleted...

P.S. The new roundabout is shifted to the north from where the "old" one was - check your drive data.

adamgirard wrote:Unbelievable. A level 1 user completely deleted this intersection and put it back to the old way...I thought they couldn't make edits on segments created/edited by those of higher levels.

Either way, I have to create the intersection again from scratch and I will definitely be locking all the segments this time.

Anyone can edit anyone else UNLESS there are locks in place... New permissions changes coming in the future, but they depend on road's rank and user level locks...

I certainly think a PM to the level 1 editor is in order...

Is Google stealing Wazer's work? I noticed on Google Maps, the intersection is almost exactly as I created it, and this showed up within a week of my updates going live on the Waze client...
