You can back up your favourites easy enough. The file is "/sdcard/waze/history". There's the search history, favourites and saved places, all in one file. Back that up (somewhere other than in the waze directory, it all gets deleted) and copy it once you do a fresh install.

Anywho, both of the exit buttons crash here too. And locking the phone with Waze running crashes Waze AGAIN! I thought you had that one sorted out two or three times already :|

I hope I don't complain too much ;) so just to let you know, the new layout is great.
Just a slight request: Maybe the font for speed, eta and stuff should be a little bit larger on HD screens and why does the point "refresh map of my area" delete the entire cache and does not what it says... meaning just download and upload the new tiles? Having a bad connection sometimes a cache is pretty useful in larger areas like forests etc...

However, keep up the good work :)

Don't restart on "freeze"

I'm on the same waze version and phone and had the same problem. But what I found is that when you just wait while the phone seems frozen it comes back eventually. Although it can take a couple of minutes.

What I just realized after a firmware update: it was the first time I restarted my phone. :D I am so happy that I got rid of my Samsung Galaxy and bought the Desire!
