What activities for the holiday season?

Post by cherianchris
With Christmas, the holiday season is almost upon us. What will all us Wazers do during this time, other than Wazing? ;-)

Lol.. Today evening is a Christmas Celebration, where churches from all over Chennai would send their Choirs to sing.
I'll be going for Christmas Carols on 14th and 15th Dec.
Christmas Mass on 25th early morning.
And Midnight Mass on 31st Dec late in the night.

We just finished the Sinterklaas season in NL, so Christmas season only started last Thursday. Most choirs and orchestras will have a concert during the next weeks, and lots will follow Serious Request during the week before Christmas. Since the glass house will be close to where I live this year, we are planning to attend the final evening.

On Christmas Eve, I will start a string of 4 night shifts at work, so there will be less celebrating compared to other years. Fortunately, those nights are exceptionally slow at work, so lots of time to edit ;).

Our daughter arrives home from school in another few days, and our holidays will mostly revolve around her. Otherwise, there will be church services and concerts, a variety of parties with friends and a lot of food.

We've already been to our community's "Christmas in the Park" celebration on the 1st and a neighboring community's "Spirit of Christmas" celebration on the 7th. At church, the kids' Christmas program will be next Sunday morning, and on the evening of the 23rd, we'll be caroling throughout the community and having a fellowship time afterward, and then the Christmas Eve candlelight service the next night.

Christmas afternoon will be spent with my wife's family, and we'll get together with my side of the family probably the following weekend. And throughout the season, we'll be rejoicing in the true Gift of Christmas, remembering that why He came into our world will be celebrated more fully at the Easter holy-days. :)
