We need to shatter this mark of 182. This was set more than an year ago. We need a new one for this year. We have 12,741,944(and increasing) registered users. We could collectively pick a date and a Half Hour Period when everyone is online. Waze Champs, recommendations please.

Doesn't cost to try! ;-)
Should be "First intelligent post in the forums", or "First learning experience in the forums". It'd have to be validated by someone.
I was thinking the exact same thing, but didn't know how to put it... Very nice...

Actually this makes me think that maaaany of those users never ever look into the forum. Also there are still too many editors that just edit without reading a country wiki or the forum. Otherwise we should have much more concurrent users online.

This said however I don't think the point is to make a new record but rather bring users - and especially editors - much more into reading the forum.

+1. Each time I refresh the page the number of users increase. Having everyone on the Forum would make the entire task of distributing info and guidelines so much easier. I'm always online on the forums while editing, because almost every common challenge is discussed here. And my Wazeology has increased a lot because of following the forums. :D

Nov 4 2011 was during the original featuring of Waze in the iOS App Store. That was that initial huge growth spurt.
But how can we emulate it ? Looks slightly hard to me. :(

On a serious note: the stats seem to jump in times of service-outage, so it probably is a good sign if it is rather constant. For most people it either just works (no need to visit) or it is beyond hope (any sparsely wazed country) and they don't bother. Stats on the wiki would be more interesting. Do we know what % of wazers ever sees the wiki, once?
All I did was just pray. Lol.. I feel less than 0.01% ever look at the Wiki :(

jasonh300 wrote:These forums are 99% for editors and 1% for users...not necessarily by design, but that's about how the posts work out.

However, there still should be thousands logged in at any given time, just among the editors. It's sad and distressing that there are that many people who have been given AM permissions and even CM permissions that have never visited the forums.
Absolutely +1. And if each Editor spends time in the forum, the quality of maps would improve by leaps and bounds.

I somehow feel that the Forums do not get enough visibility in India. A majority of users download the client and stick to Waze in a Well Managed area. And if the Waze Map is poorly managed, Waze loses a user. But nowhere, is it said that the unhappy user will get an answer/solution to his problem 99% of the time in the Forums. It is only us, who have experienced it, who know and trust the vast amount of experience on this forum, who stick and attempt to help the community grow. One bonus candy opportunity for the first forum login ? Will it work ?

It could be because most users are perfectly satisfied with the first 2 or 3 opions on the support page? (nanorep, faq, guide, wiki?) They may try those first - and give up before they reach the forum. We just do not have the numbers.
