I started Waze while my phone had its rotation lock enabled. I then turned off the lock and Waze turned to landscape mode as expected, but the menu sliders wouldn't work. I had to exit and re-start to fix this.

Also, see screencap - Wazer info is below the navigation bar and not readable.

Second I would like to have a better lane guidence when you need to exit a road on the highway. Something more like this would be great:

Anyway, first week I use Waze, love it and allready recommend it to some other people!

Co-pilot sat nav has those fake lane guidance images and they can be a real distraction in city areas with a dense number of similar junctions because they are only symbolic representations and often look nothing like the actual junctions.

I tried using the feature and turned it off very quickly as I frequently missed junctions because they didn't look like the on-screen pictures - I was often past a junction before realising I should have taken it.

Anyway, I'd rather have the basics fixed before considering any such extras.

I would like to be able to select "Car stopped"

Actually, we have "car stopped on shoulder", but we frequently encounter while driving cars stopped on the road (there is not always a shoulder, or the shoulder is so little...).
--> "Car stopped on road" is also necessary !

"Lane blocked" or "vehicle stopped in road" would be better - I'm getting fed up of reporting broken down fuel tankers and other BIG vehicles as 'cars' on the shoulder.

I have been in latest betas, and now have the newest update from the Google Play store. After a pretty long driving trip this past week with the Holiday and I noticed a lot of stuff that could be changed for(in my opinion) the better. I have since double checked in the latest version these thoughts and suggestions since it just came out, and they have not been fixed/implemented yet. So here goes my list:

All my issues could be specific to my phone so I will say now I am running a Motorola Droid Bionic running Android 4.0.4.

1. When going to share my drive my preferable way of doing this would be via text message, however since the last few updates I haven't been able to. As you can see from the picture below there is no text in the conversation box where there should be. So I have to resort to emailing my drives instead. Image

2. On the topic of Sharing your Drives, I feel like its a bit hidden in the "Meet Up" menu, I find myself accidentally clicking on the "Share" icon in the menu only to be directly to share the app instead of my drive. I feel as though a name change for the "Meet Up" tile could be a welcomed change. Maybe just make that tile "My Drive", it just feels like "Meet Up" doesn't accurately describe the menu you're getting into. Yes you can do the pick up request within that menu, but for me I just like sharing my drive to family members who want to know I'm still arriving safely and on time to my destination(not necessarily to see them). Ultimately I just think it needs to be easier to get to Sharing Your Driving, I feel like in previous versions it was, but now there are more steps.

3. Hazards - In previous versions of waze when a Hazard popped up notifying you in X amount of feet it told you what the hazard was in the text box. I believe it is now just an icon maybe, but I could be wrong when I'm driving I'm not actively looking at icons to know for sure. However if it is there is an icon for say, a car on the side of the road then I feel like there should be text that says Car on Shoulder in X amount of feet (is it there? Thank you). When driving I feel like words sometimes are a bit better than a picture.

4. Hazards - now to completely contradict what I just said I feel like there should be new icons added for hazards. Mainly the weather hazards. I feel like with bad weather ahead an actual icon for the weather reported(ie a fog icon, hail icon, rain icon, and snow icon, maybe add an Ice Icon) should be put on the map so you have a better idea of what you're driving into rather than seeing a hazard icon which could be any number of things on the map. Basically eliminating the need to click on a hazard icon while driving to see what the hazard is up ahead. With winter coming quickly I feel like I'll be using the weather updates more often to report poor road conditions, and I feel like this would be a beneficial addition to the list of map icons to help drivers out.

5. Map problems, this has happened on every version of waze for me, but I noticed it happened a bit more frequently on this past trip. While I'm driving all of the sudden it seems as though waze doesn't know where I am. For example I was driving and I didn't have any thing to do for 120 miles when I got to about 20 miles from the next thing I had to do waze acted like it was updated and then said 20 miles Proceed to Highlighted Route. I'm not sure what the issue is, but like i said it does happen frequently.

6. I feel like the Direction Arrows are a bit confusing and need to be updated. A prime example:
Image
While this doesn't show exactly what I'm about to say it helps. when it comes to staying left, or staying right it shouldn't be the same icon as Exiting Left or Right. I feel like the icon should be more like this for an Exit left or right:
Image
This would make it easy to distinguish the action you really need to be taking.

7. The text box displaying your ETA information needs to be resized or the box needs to be bigger to give room for longer trips:
Image

8. Really? What's the deal with Dunkin Donuts? I don't care where they are so why are they on my map?

Solution:
move waze to internal memory.
I have noticed that if waze is on the SD I can't update gas prices (GPS error), if is in the internal memory it works...

Waze crashes on me every time I get within about 100 yards of my house. It has done this since the last two updates. After the big update that was the first in a long while I figured it would get sorted out pretty quick, but the new update hit and I still have the issue. When it crashes it is bad enough I have to fully power cycle the phone too.

I thought maybe it was connecting to my wifi and causing a crash during the switchover in data but I disabled wifi and still have the issue. I live in front of a gas station and when I get close enough to see the price to report it I'll crash every time. I now have to shut down waze a half mile from home to avoid the crash. I have waze set to not remember my route, but it apparently is? Only thing I can figure as nothing else is running on the phone, wifi is off, and waze works perfectly all other times for me.

Only major issue I've found, almost all other aspects in waze have improved for me.

My phone is a Samsung S3, not rooted and running factory image of Android 4.0.4.

this keeps slipping my mind.

A U-turn = "turn right, and then turn right". i always need to double check to make sure that it is a U-turn, and not a "turn right into a lane, and turn right on the next right turn".
tested on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I visited Spain and got the feature unlocked.
The gas prices worked good so far.
Now it just shows the 'no gps available' message.

In Spain this feature is available. I guess the button got stuck and stayed on your screen when you got back to Portugal. Can you try re-installing (plus deleting waze folder)?

For some reason, it is work ok now :D
I plan to keep this feature till Waze officially releases the Gas Stations in Portugal :)
