900k km?? That's distance from Sun to Mars :shock: :shock: Is waze prepairing for space navigation?
Because of the private space flights that are coming? :D

I wish not to crash after driving to Mars :mrgreen:

Today I've once got a request to follow the route for more than 900 000 km. Crash afterwards.

On the subsequent run, after reaching the via point (but not yet the destination!), the client told me at least 15 times that I've reached the destination, until I've stopped the navigation.

It was not possible to translate "ETA" - even when I forced it into the language file, it was still showing "ETA".

It was in the past translated in French by TAE (Temps d'Arrivée Estimé). But no meaning for TAE in other system in France, so I removed TAE and replaced by ETA witch is more "universal" !

well that's nice :) but waze has also local translations and people who don't speak English use them. They won't know what's ETA either :) - unless they use logic and see it is estimated time of arrival. Funny example: ETA e.g. used to be a brand of electronics, or still even is over here - not sure :)

You are right but don't forget that it's not easy to translate ETA with something which fits this small window because we and also you don't have such understandable shortcut for it. I have no problem if ETA is removed. Everybody smart enough or used to Waze will know the second day what's that time.

In France, ETA is known... Other systems use ETA !

I know, but it was not empty for the test:
Code: Select all
ETA=Test1

If it's empty it shows English.

@fotrik: These were exactly my points. (Besides this, I agree that ETA is an elegant shortcut.)
