good idea...

I agree editing splitted (two one way ) road is bit of the pain, but I think its better for now atleast, other wise waze sometimes behaving crezzu due to left hand side drive in India.

but if every one wants to go with Combining them in one road... I am ok with it.
its really gr8 to have standards defined for Indian roads too.

Thanks.

Darryl-BHP wrote:Driving on one side of the road or the other is country-specific and is not the reason for road directions getting automatically changed. This happens only because the combined width of the two directions of the road isn't enough for the average phone GPS to differentiate between them. You can see this for yourself by going to the map editing page ('Cartouche') and turning on the 'GPS Points' layer to view the tracks along a city street that has been created as two one-way roads. For most such roads that I have reviewed, almost all tracks in both directions appear along one side/direction and the other 'road' is practically free of GPS tracks.
Agreed. Already started combining two one way roads into one in Pune Area. :D

Is there a way to combine these roads in one road??
To Separate 2 one way roads we have a Option in Edit panel, is there anything similar for combining into one? or do we have to do it manually?

yes we need to restrict the turns, and then enable only allowed turns.. other wise U turn becomes enabled.

solution for "U turn restriction" on two way road mentioned above.
cshubhra wrote: I will keep the two one way roads locked, to avoid turning them to two-way roads!
unfortunately Locking the road doesn't change anything. any user driven from that road, or AM has access to unlock it. also it can be edited in locked state.
cshubhra wrote:Another problem in Kolkata ... most people don't respect one way roads, and often drive in the other direction!!!
Unfortunately this is not problem Only in Kolkata... almost all over the India. :( :(

I agree increasing the waze users is only way to get waze thing going...

Nothing new in Pune as well... On top of that BRT lanes are used by all other vehicles expect public transport buses!!

Hi just reading all the communities created under India. i really think we all need to pick up the crowd as the community is really silent except for a few users.
