AM Fugen/Kaltenbach

Post by Gamersea
Guten tag,

I hope you guys can speak English? I would really like to get AM rights for the fugen/kaltenbach area. I've already sent in a request but have not heard anything yet, i've not been there yet with Waze but do have been there for many times. In 3 weeks I'm gonna be there again. I would like to update the map a bit, as I can see there are roads not yet there and more stuff which can be updated.

So could the austria AM chief manager please give me access to the fugen and kaltenbach area!

Thanks!

Mit freundliche grub,

Wilco Wietsma

Eric, Achtung!

Was denkt ihr?
omba_de wrote:Was irgendwie lustig ist.

Hi,

I will definitely help you with that;-)
It are not major things, but mostly the smaller roads to vacation homes (for example the pankrazberg, it continues longer than Waze shows), but no navigation system has them good in their system. So it would be great and plus points for Waze if we do have them as navigation.

Not sure how it's done in Austria but in The Netherlands we close dead ends with a junction, so for example the L49 Pankrazberg Landesstraße does not end with a junction:)

So most of all just adding the smaller roads so people can find their homes while navigating;)

Kind Regards,
Wilco

Thank you!

I did not meant junction, but junction point. Adding a junction point on the end of the road prevents wrong navigation when your not directly on that road ;-)

But good job putting in the the main roads!

omba_de wrote:I found the streets you've meant. They were in hochfügen. Right? I did those when I wasn't too much into map editing! Just changed them.
I'll try to add even more roads in fügen.

I'm not that often in fügen. So I have to do Maplayer editing. Which takes some time.
If you need anything special, just send me the permalink.

Yours,
Eric
Yeah, that's right! Good job!
I'll will look if I can find anything else:)

I did not yet checked the Austria wiki, but do you guys also add landmarks for parking places? Would be nice to have them added Fügen, not for myself, I know where they lay as the back of my hand. But for newcomers!

Are the gas prices getting updated already in your area? In the client. I thought Austria's price of benzine and diesel are around €1,40 per liter??

BTW, when I navigate with Waze too Fügen it says I'll be going over toll roads. Are those actually toll roads? Or do you give up all major roads up as toll road? Cause I know I have to get a vignet/ticket to be allowed to drive in Österreich.
---
Not sure if you ever go to Salzburg, but I can't find the major parkinglots on the map. At the Austria.info website the map shows that they should be somewhere on the borders of the city center.

GPSRitter wrote:Hi Wilco,

Parking lots are up to the area manager, but CM recommendation is to add them where it makes sense.

Gas prices are not yet in waze as we are still discussing with controlling authority to get access to their Gas pricing announcement system, to make it a bit easier, esp where not much wazers are around. In the meantime you can check prices on www.spritpreisrechner.at

regarding toll roads:
Only freeways (Autobahn & Autostraße) are toll roads (although there are some parts which are not tolled). But be aware that on some parts of the freeways you have to pay extra toll (like Arlbergtunnel or A9 between Leoben and Graz) and there are some privately serviced roads where toll is collected and are not freeways. I don't think we have put all of them in the database yet.
Nevertheless in Fügen Area you should be fine without extra tolling.
But Eric will be the local one that can comment better on that. :)

Have fun
Thanks for the link:) Oh I thought the feature was also activated already in Österreich.
About the toll ways, that's a bit tricky then. Cause if I navigate without going over toll roads I also won't be navigated over some freeways, right? What are the toll fees now-a-days? Cause I already pay around 80 euros just for the vignet/ticket.

Omba_de, thank you for adding the parking lots etc. Great!

Haha oke, then I know enough. I guess I won't be routed over those closed roads?

Thanks for the information!
