BTW, I also did the Local/Express naming on that stretch of 80. That should help traffic reports at least. Some segments were still only named "I- 80".

Oh, and I added lots of wayfinders as well. Feel free to double check me on anything touching 80 between 287 and 280.
I see you've been convinced to change from highway splits being ramp/ramp to highway/highway (if necessary). Welcome aboard. Now we just have to go back and change all the other ones we've done in the past :). I'll let you know when I find them again...

150) Restrict right turn of segment. Otherwise, I can't figure out what the UR wants:

Also, if you have the node fixer extension, deal with those 3 nodes. The pink is bothering me ;)

EDIT: I massaged 80 between 280 and 287. Do you know if the local to express crossover for I-80 W still exists around Exit 45? It isn't mapped right now.
149.) Should this restriction enabled?
It would appear so (from street view). Weeezer14, work your magic...

151) Interesting problem this driver had. It seems like when he makes a right from the segment, he can't really get into a lane to make an immediate left - whether because of timing or crossing the white lines... etc. What does everyone recommend in this situation?

WeeeZer14 wrote:And kinda back to item 147, I've worked some more on I-80 which was in rough shape for naming at least (lots of "I- 80" all over and even some unnamed mainline segments, express/local only in some places, etc etc). If you want to double check me that would be great. I know I re-worked some areas we have touched before in this thread. Specifically:

I-80 @ I-95/NJTP
I-80 @ NJ-23/US-46
I-80 @ I-280
I-80 @ I-287
I still need to work west from 287...

If you made any mistakes on the portion of my drive, I'll catch it as I'm driving :). I'll scream out of my car WeeeZer!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason why I haven't done the renaming myself is because I do like the I-80 shield that comes up when the road is just named 'I-80'.

152) Some punk ( ;) ) decided to mess with my highway and now it isn't working right...
https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat ... 0,70114761

Above is the path I take going home. It should say to keep-lefts 2 times, but I only got one when I went home. I think the second 'left' isn't 'left' enough and it thinks it is straight and therefore doesn't say anything. The segment needs to be angled more, along with the other 'right' segment.

along with 152...

153) Segment should say "Upper Roadway" and not "lower":

154) I believe the exit number should be 58A, not B:

I don't think its the angles. I'm thinking that the 2nd left from the no name segment to the next no name segment is the best continuation and isn't generating an instruction.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Please explain.

CBenson wrote:At a split where all the roads segments are the same type, if one of the exit legs has the same name as the entrance leg, waze doesn't give a turn instruction if routing over that exit leg on the assumption that the route is continuing on the same road. This is touched on in the Junction Style Guide. There it states: To receive navigation instructions for both branches of a split . . . All segments must have names that are different from each other. In your case, on your route at the second split, it seems that waze is not considering the segments to have different names from each other because both the entrance segment and the exit segment are unnamed.
Also see the wiki for "What is the 'best continuation'?"
Sounds like you may be right. Can you name the second 'no name' segment the name of the ramp which proceeds it and I'll let you know how it works out in 2 days when it is updated.

Thanks!
Joey
