Tornados!

Post by razor2k
My niece just had a tornado come through her neighborhood in Calhoun Ga. The dang thing skipped over her house (tore up the neighborhood) so she and her family were lucky!

Will post pics as soon as she sends them to me..

“It is not power that corrupts, but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it, and fear of the scourge of power, corrupts those who are subject to it.”

Ditto, pjlasl's comment. I saw on the news that you guys are getting slammed down there! Well we all hope you are well and make it through the storm; we deal with twisters all summer long here in the Midwest.

Yes they did make it through ok. Very minimal damage to their house, the next door neighbor not so lucky...two story house and the entire roof got ripped off!

I really feel for all of you who live in tornado alley in the mid-west, I'd be a nervous wreck all the time just worrying what could happen  At least in Florida, we have warning of a hurricane coming....and then can plan accordingly. We do have the rare tornado but it's usually nothing of the magnitude you guys have out west!

I hate to disagree with you Razor, but Clearwater is number one...

Interesting! Like i said before though..we don't have the F3-5 destructive ones. If we have one come through it's usually F0-1. Hell, we get stronger gusts when a good cold front comes through

Word is in from the "experts" It was an EF-3 with winds of 160mph that traveled 24.5 miles and was 400 yards wide. Pretty big swath of destruction!
