Using Waze in other countries?

Post by heatham
A couple weeks ago I was in China on business and used Waze in several cities. It doesn't appear that any of these Waze points were added to my existing account. How does Waze work when traveling to other countries?

Why don't points from visits to other countries accumulate into one account?
Separate infrastructures in different data centers for performance reasons. So, the accounts ended up split as well. IMO, they should, eventually, be able to merge the points/drives together. It's not a high priority.

I don't believe there's any intention to merge the two infrastructures.

I use Waze on 2 separate iphones in 2 countries, the US and France. While I am able to log in with the same login and pw, I cannot see the points I accumulate in one country, in the other. The following reply was posted in 2010, but the problem still appear to be unresolved. Can anybody help?

You are from the US/Canada, right? Drives in other parts of the world end up on http://world.waze.com/dashboard/ .
