Restaurants showing up on map

Post by
Hello,
Sorry if this has been discussed, but on my navigation map, Dunkin Donuts and Taco Bell are the only two restaurants that always appear. Why?

Thanks..
Roger

Like you hate child sex trafficking and rape and killing of non-military civilians during war?

Perspective...

No. That's how the app stays free.

It is NOT just restaurants. We have AT&T Stores, and a few Hotel Chains too. You will only see a maximum of three advertising pins on the screen at one time.

NEVER want to lose the Dunkin Donuts ads. I NEED those!! I do not mind the ads if it keeps the app free. In the future when more advertisers join I would like the option of narrowing down who I want to see though. Maybe have categories and members have to have at least one advertising category active. That way if I'm on a 15 hour drive and need coffee or food I can set that to active.

You'd really give up on the best satnav app for a few ads? Where else are you going to get traffic reports for free?
I say stop looking at the screen when you're driving and there won't be an issue ;-)

Same here on my so called amazing S2 AMOLED screen. Not to worry, Samsung or o2 will be replacing it before the end of my contract.
Don't blame Waze for a phone manufacturer's poor design, testing and implementation although I do agree it is too bright and should probably dim between instructions.

If that's what you use Waze for, then what you really need is a dog to sniff out all those bacon ;-)

Time to go back to an older version without the ads.

I just dropped back to Ver 3.2.1 I'll do whatever it takes not to see the ads. If it means giving up Waze completely, then so be it.
