User report: "Missing bridge overpass"

Reported from the deck of the Woolwich Car Ferry in the middle of the River Thames. I'm afraid I just couldn't resist replying:
iainhouse wrote:Hi there! Volunteer map editor iainhouse responding to your report.

You reported a "missing bridge overpass" on the Woolwich Ferry in the middle of the river. Whilst I know a bridge here would be far quicker, I'm afraid our ability to influence Government transport policy is limited!

Did you perhaps mean to report some other problem?

If you can supply any more information, I would like to help. You can reply to this message in the app . . . etc etc

[EDIT] Never did get a reply from that one. :(

Hi, what was the problem here on Victoria Park?
Reporter on July 11, 2014
I think it was a robbery
a.n.editor(4) on July 11, 2014
Ok, what has that got to do with a map issue on Waze exactly?
iainhouse(6) on August 20, 2014
I'm closing this report now, as the criminals have probably left the area.

What's your quickest response to a UR "request for more information"? Whatever it is, I can beat it: I got a response from the reporter before I finished typing the request!

I found an old UR (~100 days old) in an area with no AMs. I was just starting to type my request for more info when a L1 Live User appeared at the location and said "Hi" to me in Map Chat.

I finished typing my request first, hit send, then said "Hi" back and asked him if he had any idea what the problem was (joking a bit, since I couldn't work it out). It transpired that he was the original reporter of the UR: he had just decided to look into "this map editing thingy" and had "followed" me to the location of his own report.

After I assured him he didn't have to reply to the email he'd just received, we resolved the issue in chat and I was able to close the UR.

I'm not sure if this counts as a Jolly Driver or a Jolly Editor?

General error
Reported on: January 18, 2015

Reporter February 19, 2015 wrote:Hi,

You recently reported a General Error while on the A4050. Unfortunately Waze hasn't information to identify the problem.

Any additional information you could offer would be appreciated.

Thanks

iainhouse(6) April 05, 2015 wrote:I don't know who asked for more information on Feb 19th because the UR says "Reporter". That means you're also the person who reported the problem in the first place!

Are you going to answer yourself, or can I close this report now?

Postscript: It was both!

Go ahead and close it please.

And yes - I too have fallen into this trap before. :)
