116.) I made a few adjustments, but I still have questions. Now that Queensboro plaza has been totally rebuilt, none of my memory matters. (I've actually ridden my bicycle across the bride during the Bike NY 5 boro bike tour. Awesome experience.) We need a local to chime in.

119.) Based on this article, dated July 22, 2011:
The conversion of Fourth Avenue into a one-way street going southbound between Atlantic and Flatbush avenues only goes into effect on July 31.
There are other traffic changes mentioned, so you may want to review them all.

126.) Done.

Good to see another NJ area editor alive and well after the storm.

127.) Done
128.) Done
129.) I'm going to have to give that some thought and maybe "drive" it a few times with street view. Perhaps adding even just one ramp/ramp split at the end of that stretch would give the driver a "target" to aim for instead of an exit 5, 10, 30 miles later in their trip. If the screen tells them to aim for I-95 S, that may be enough to help them navigate the gauntlet ;) I'll take a look sometime today as long as work remains quiet.

129.) Not yet, but I do still have that editor window open to remind me ;)

130.) Maybe. As the first test, I made the name of the segment after the exit to Midland the same as before (Exit 159...). If that isn't enough, we may have to change the angle of the exit to Midland to be 90 degrees to force a "turn right" instead of an "exit right". I am curious as to if the first step will be enough so lets see what happens after a map update.

131.) Should be better. Someone had the jug handle connected to the side street way far away from the intersection for some reason?

I've been busy with work and the Thanksgiving holiday, so just getting back to the forums now. I'll update this post as I go but I wanted to make sure you and anyone looking knew I was indeed working on the unanswered issues.

132.) No reason I can think of off hand, but go ahead and check with xollob via PM. I am also not sure of the use of Street type for those segments. Maybe he was trying to address something with the lower weight of Street vs. Ramp for routing?

133.) Done.

134.) Updated and I changed "US Hwy 9W" to "US-9W"

135.) Yeah, when I edited through here last time I wondered about the exit label someone else had added. I didn't remember wording like that myself (I used to use the Newark Bay Extension quite often) but thought maybe they added new signs (It is NJ, I should have known better!). I think I know why they did that though... Exit 14C is basically the toll plaza itself. So if you are on the Turnpike headed to the exit in question, it may look weird that your next instruction is "Jersey City / Columbus Dr" and not a numbered exit. The only thing I can think of doing is to add a wayfinder split at Exit 14B that tells you to keep left for Exit 14C. This is a perfect situation where we really need a "Continue" instruction! So I've set that up and renamed the post-toll plaza exits.

136.) I've driven there more times than I can count, but I never got off of the Cross Bronx there. I don't see any URs there now, do you remember what they said?

137.) Done. And THAT is the problem with starting ramps at the start of the decel lane instead of closer to the commit point.

138.) Done.

139.) Double check that I got all that I should have gotten.

Ah. That felt good. Much bigger sense of accomplishment from this than from the real job

Wajo357 wrote: Thanks! Did you ever think about 129 some more?
I did, but I have not made any decision on how to proceed. I'll have to mull it over and come back to it with fresh eyes. Have you noticed any URs popping up?
Wajo357 wrote: 134 - Does the voice instruction say "West" if there is no space between the "9" and the "W"?
Based on highways like 11E, 11W, 25E, 25W near me:
"9 W" = Nine West
"9W" = Nine double-u
"9W N" = Nine double-u North
"9 W N" = unreliable for me, sometimes Nine West North, sometimes some variation having the letters used.
Wajo357 wrote:136 - No one gave anything specific, but at the beginning of the week there were like 4 UR in the same area. I wasn't sure if the ramp was properly mapped and started at the right location. Otherwise, I was clueless...
Keep an eye on it I guess. There has been construction there in the recent past, so it is possible the ramp moved a bit or has new signage.
Wajo357 wrote: 139 - Hmm... I might have made a mistake. I was looking at the northbound left turn restriction, but didn't specify. Did you also restrict the southbound one as well? I don't see a restriction on Google street view. Sorry.
I'll take a closer look at it. I know I had done some of that intersection a month or two back, but I know for sure work has been done recently and I wasn't sure if street view (and street side) were accurate or not.

Wajo357 wrote:134 - So when you changed the ramp to "US-9W", wouldn't it have been better to do "US-9 W"?
"US-9 W" implies the west bound direction of US-9. The route in this case is the western spur/alternate/variant of US-9 which is given the designation "9W". The "W" is not a direction in this case and is part of the name. (wikipedia link for anyone following not familiar with the road)

As a semi-local (always lived south of the GWB), I always heard "nine double-u", but I am not sure what people in the Hudson Valley would say.

140.) Restricted.

141.) Allowed.

142.) Segments should remain freeway, BUT they should have wayfinder segments leading to them so people are told where they need to go. West bound was easy. East bound I am staring at because of how close exit 48 is. I'll have to think about that.

BTW, in the general area not all ramps have been updated for Triboro to RFK.

And anyone know how Waze would say "RFK"?
