I installed an Android tablet in my car in place of my head unit. Meaning all my audio comes from the tablet as well as Waze. It works great. It could work better though. A lot of the time I'm just listening to the music already on my device or a streaming service. I'd love it for an option to enable On Screen Audio Controls. A simple play/pause, stop, next/prev track and maybe some volume icons too (up/down/mute). Currently I have the Volume in the notification drawer, but it can be tricky to pull down and then hit the buttons. Most music apps provide the music controls. I'd think just firing the android intent for each action would be sufficient, and not worry about a per app specific setting.
