Since the "average" speed data shown in the editor has no relation to the time-of-day-based routing which Waze actually uses, I'm not convinced of the usefulness of the data.

That can be shown in the editor with use of extensions like WMECH.

Geometry mode wipe can be done with a simple bookmarklet too. I can send it to you.

You can update it yourself. Right at the top. Pretty easy.

I know I can unpack the CRX file using 7-Zip. Once I change the URL's in the script, how do I repack it so Chrome will let me install it?
I take it all back. Not as easy as I figured. I'll just wait for Tim to post an update.

Initial checks show that it works fine.

I'm getting "Uncaught TypeError: Property 'onclick' of object #<HTMLParagraphElement> is not a function" on the line "return dummyElem.onclick();" in the public editor, in Chrome 29.0.1547.76 m. Before I updated to 1.7 and 1.7.1, 1.6.7 was installed and working fine.

I thought as of a recent Chrome version we could use the .user.js files again?

of course. :) It's even noted in the OP of the editor release thread.
