Voice command Button

Post by drewex
Can there be option to do voice commands with a button. Maybe make the report button hold down a second then voice command comes up. This will allow better usage of voice commands with single hand use. waving hand thing doesnt work well and clicking 3 fingers at the same time is impossible with one hand.

The waving works just fine for me. I use voice commands almost exclusively unless I want to add extra text or voice annotation.

iPhones have had a proximity sensor. If other phones "blank out" when you put it up to your head for a phone call, they probably have the same. Not just a camera.

Three finger tap is not supported on all phones (it's not supported on the Hardware-not a Waze issue). I've found that the NEW double wave setting works a lot better than the single wave.

I'd recommend getting a phone cradle then. Safer and more practical!

the 3 button click doesnt work with one hand, while your holding the phone or if you have the phone sitting on the side.

I can confirm this. I used an antique iPhone 3GS up until a few weeks ago. No front camera. Coincidentally, I upgraded because the proximity sensor started giving me problems.

Via my iPhone 4S.

Three finger tap does not work with most motorcycle gloves.
