I haven't tried it on a mobile device yet. The site probably isn't built with mobile in mind.

Yes. If on android, you're good to go. Apple restricts changes to beta devices to once per year.

I think the next re-up is around September.

New beta platform

Postby deeggo » Sun Apr 07, 2013 11:53 am

I guess many of you received the invitation for the new beta platform and went through the lengthy registration procedure. First of all, a big shout out to Waze for finally organising this properly!

Now my first impression is that it isn't very mobile friendly. Many windows don't resize when zooming in etc. I suppose there's nothing that can be done about that?

Today it says my session has expired and forces me to relogin. However, when tapping the username box, the browser zooms in a bit and the box flows out of the screen. Scrolling is impossible, so I can't see what I type. This site is not mobile friendly at all!

I have filled out the form before but not heard anything to date, but it didn't matter in the past. I take it new beta versions will no longer be linked for those of us with a jailbroken iPhone? I thought it was a good way for you guys to increase beta users above and beyond Apple's limitations and also save more registered spots for those without jailbroken devices.

Then I'm going to have a problem. I got a new iPhone a few weeks ago.

Hi guys,

Sorry if I missed some of you! If you were a beta tester before and didn't get an invitation from me - please write me and I'll send you one.

Regarding the mobile friendly issue - we're aware that it's not very convenient at the moment, but Centercode are working on a native app (I need to check it again, but I believe for both Android and iOS) and about to release it pretty soon (couple of months), so please bare with us :)

... also asked waze on twitter if there is a place to sign up for this new beta platform... apparently that's not the case. But now I'm wondering as well how to gain access to that the new beta versions...
