I'm on v2.35 The scrolling function locks out after a couple of passes around the map, only way to overcome this is to refresh wme.

Many thanks,
Ian

Latest version causing wme to lose the left tool bar and then freeze. Usually after <1 min of using wme.

Ian.

I wonder if you might consider a "full time highlight" (checkbox on the upper left, as opposed to the road type dropdown, which is more of an itinerant usage) to indicate Unpaved -- and maybe Tunnel -- segments, perhaps with a stroke style acting as an overlay? This way, it could be left on full time, while freeing up the road type box to do the usual madness. Especially since these traits can be applied to most/all other road types now.

Please give it a thought.
Thanks!
I would whole heartily second tonestertm's request and I would also please ask that you consider adding 'Headlights Required' to that list.

Thanks in Advance,

Welp, I'm at a loss here. After installing 1.6.2 the script doesn't work anymore. Nothing highlights, and there are no options under the dropdowns for cities or the purple highlight type. I uninstalled and reinstalled the script to no avail. Am I the only one having this issue? Haven't seen any other posts on this, or how to fix it.

You may have to disable NoScript if you have it running, it may prevent running the script (or parts of it). Also check what options you have enabled, of course.
I definitely don't have noscript running; I've never even used it before.

I deleted all the other extensions except for one related to Foursquare. It works and I just used it today. But the Highlights script is still not working. I deleted the cache, and the script itself and reinstalled — nothing changes.

I tried the WME Addons tool and it works, too. So it seems to be just this script that's failing me.

Hmm. I didn't even realize I was in the beta channel for Chrome! (It's not my primary browser, Opera is.)

Works just fine. I only use Chrome for a few sites (Waze, Facebook, Foursquare editing and Google Street View) since those are crap on Opera. I don't use Ghostery on Chrome, but I do use some other extensions like a translator and WME Add-Ons and they work OK.

Is there a source for older versions of these scripts? I would like to go back to 1.6.0 and see if it works. That was the last known working version for me, I think.

orbitc was kind enough to send me a few of the old files he had — 1.6 and 1.5 — and they don't work, either. Just like 1.6.2 the checkboxes don't do anything and the drop down boxes for Filter by City and Highlight a Road Type are empty.

I'm not overly familiar with scripts and Chrome but if you guys know of something I can check, maybe we can figure something out. Otherwise, I'm going back to a stable release to try again.

I'm going to go back to the main release channel, too, then. I just hope whatever's causing the scripts not to work is fixed on Chrome's end by the time this beta is released to everyone, or we'll all be back at square one.

Edit: Went back to main release, which for some reason has an even higher number: 27.0.1453.47 m. Scripts still not working. Time to do a complete uninstall/reinstall I think.

Edit #3: After a complete uninstall and re-install, everything is working now. How strange.

About ten versions ago (in Chrome speak I guess that was three months back, ha ha) I had an issue where the Chrome update was getting stuck, running my single CPU at 99% until I killed the process. It did that for months until it magically fixed itself. That pretty much soured me on the auto update process. With my computer being over a decade old (but perfectly serviceable in most respects) I can only imagine what would have happened had I gone off for a week and it decided to get stuck the whole time. I might come to a melted CPU. Wouldn't be the first one!

This script issue is just another reason I hate these silent automatic updates. They always wind up causing some new problem and I'm left scratching my head until I think to check the version number.
