Somehow, I think this error report will change the way I look at the basketball road goodies on the map going forward. it will always be in the back of my mind

That could be a user posting inappropriate photos in mapchat (not the first time it has happened).

Possible, and if there was an attached image, obscenities, or further reports of inappropriate images in the area, it would have warranted a much different investigation and response. But as the report was filed the first day the basketballs were appearing and the verbiage used, I believe that they choose to file the childish error report based on that alone. Having been around a fair share of teens and preteens lately, this is the exact sort of report that many of them would think is amusing. If such reports become more common in the region, the responses will need to be tailored to phase out such erroneous reporting behavior.
